Clarendon Hills 2013 Romas Grenache

The Clarendon Hills 2013 Romas Grenache demonstrates is superiority and presence immediately. The lifted berries protrude from the perfume while the underlying forest floor, porcini and umami characters transform the experience to that of pure hedonism. Bright natural acidity highlights all the red and blue forest berries on offer and the palate is still very much alive with perfectly weighted berries and silken with layered of lightly sandy grenache tannin. The flavours are long, intense and highly refined exhibiting recessed power and only revealing their true extent on the polished finish. This was 97/100 from Halliday in 10 years ago, I recommend it may have gained a point or two since then. Highly recommended.
