Clarendon Hills Romas Grenache 2015
Clarendon Hills Romas Grenache patch is the steepest, rockiest section of the Blewitt Springs Grenache vineyard. Gnarly old vines planted in the 1940’s produce microscopic yields and amazing acidity, with final pH similar to that of a white wine. Taste the terroir of Blewitt Springs, McLaren Vale in this old vine, unfiltered, hand made flagship example.
“The 2015 Romas Grenache comes across as a dialed-up, even more concentrated version of the impressive 2014. Rose petal and tea leaves add nuance to the oodles of blueberries and cherries that form this wine’s core, while the dense, rich palate carries those flavors on a velvety blanket of ripe tannins.”
